名人食館 Super Stars Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into 名人食館 Super Stars Restaurant feels like entering a lively corner of Vancouver’s vibrant Mandarin dining scene where tradition and warmth quietly intertwine. The hum of conversations mixes with the clinking of teacups, setting a welcoming pace that invites you to linger without rush. The space balances intimacy and conviviality, offering a mix of cozy booths alongside traditional tables — perfect for groups of friends or family gatherings, each corner fostering its own subtle rhythm.
Here, the experience is as much about connection as it is about the meal. Between bites, it’s easy to notice the thoughtful touches — books tucked between booths that hint at a slower, more reflective dining moment amid the bustle. The vibe is neither formal nor casual, but comfortably in-between, making it a spot where many feel both at ease and intrigued by the culinary adventure laid out in front of them.
The menu unfolds like a journey through familiar yet thoughtfully curated flavors. Whether savoring delicate shrimp dumplings or the hearty, soul-soothing beef rice rolls, there’s a palpable sense of care in each dish’s balance and size — generous enough to invite sharing, yet crafted with a nuanced touch. The dim sum arrives as more than just a meal; it becomes a gentle gathering point, especially with the soft steam rising from xiao long bao or the crispness of the salted fish chicken tofu pot.
This isn’t the sort of place to rush through but to settle into, where the unexpected combination of ingredients can spark quiet delight — a reminder that every spoonful is part of a story woven from tradition and a sprinkle of everyday creativity. Whether you’re drawn in by a bowl of crab meat and fish stomach soup or indulging in the comforts of classic vermicelli, the restaurant’s steady flow of customers speaks to a shared appreciation for its rhythm and honest flavors.
Parking nearby lends practical ease to what otherwise might feel like a special outing — a neighborhood treasure where moments and meals unfold with equal charm.

Busy place with unusual items. Had the chili salmon which was tasty. Also had the noodles which was large. Could not finish and brought rest home. Came again. Enjoyed fried croaker fish and beef rice roll. Beef wrap had interesting combo of beef, enoki mushrooms, fish stick, spam

They have dim sum and many other dishes. Dim sum is 10% off and free tea until 2:45pm. The dim sum ordered are sizeable, as well as the other dishes (looking around at other tables). The room is divided into booths one side and traditional tables on the other which accomodates various geoup sizes. They have books that you can read located in the slots between booths. Parking is available on Victoria Drive or in the residential side street. Definitely a place to check out.
